A method for adapting and providing graphical communications in a dispensing environment is provided and can include receiving first data characterizing a vehicle in a dispensing environment and second data characterizing a vehicle operator. Vehicle attributes can be determined based on the first data and an identity of the operator can be determined based on the second data. Third data characterizing a graphical communication can be determined based on the attributes of the vehicle and the identity of the operator. The graphical communication can include graphical elements and can be determined for the operator based on fourth data characterizing a likelihood the operator will provide an input selecting a graphical element of the graphical elements included in the graphical communication. The graphical communication can displayed on a screen within the dispensing environment for viewing by the operator. Related systems and computer-readable mediums are also provided.

Fuel dispensers, systems, and methods are provided for allowing a user to dynamically create a customized fuel blend, also referred to as a fuel mixture. In an exemplary embodiment, a fuel dispenser is provided having an interactive display, such as a touchscreen display, and a data processor that can perform operations that enable any one or more of replacing PTS buttons, integrating additive pumps to combine fuel mixtures and additives, mixing fuels and additives, calculating fuel mixture prices, and allowing a user to customize fuel mixtures. The application of the interactive display and the control module, as well as other components, can facilitate allowing a user to create customized fuel mixtures, while minimizing changes to standard communication protocol associated with components such as, e.g., a point-of-sale (POS), a forecourt controller, and a fuel controller that can control dispensing of fuel.

In general, intelligent fuel dispensers are provided. In at least some implementations, an intelligent fuel dispenser can determine customer identities and/or other characteristics and provide customized fueling sessions based on the determined customer identities and/or other characteristics. In at least some implementations, the fuel dispenser includes a touchless interface allowing customers to complete fueling sessions with minimal physical contact with the fuel dispenser.

A selection of a fueling station item, graphically depicted on a display of a fuel dispenser and corresponding to an available fueling station product, can be received by at least one data processor of a fuel dispenser. A two dimensional barcode based on the selected fueling station item can be determined. The two dimensional barcode can be provided to the fuel dispenser display for graphical depiction on the fuel dispenser display.

In one aspect, data characterizing fueling station user's location relative to a fueling station, a time slot of availability of a fuel dispenser at the fueling station, and a configuration of the fuel dispenser for fuel dispensing operations can be received. An arrival time of the fueling station user at the fueling station can be determined based on the location data. A selection prompt characterizing the fuel dispenser configuration data can be determined, and the selection prompt can include a field for specifying an operating parameter of the fuel dispenser. Selection data characterizing the operating parameter can be determined in response to an input of the operating parameter into the field. A fueling station allocation can be determined based on the arrival time, the time slot data, and the selection data. The fueling station allocation can be provided. Various exemplary devices, systems, and methods for automatic service appointment suggestion and booking through a dispenser are provided. In general, a dispenser within a dispensing environment is configured to identify information of a vehicle present within the dispensing environment based on image or video data of a portion of the vehicle captured by an image sensor within the dispensing environment. In an exemplary implementation, the dispenser is further configured to obtain service history information of the vehicle from a remote entity using the identifying information of the vehicle and display current service information and one or more first interactive graphics for booking a vehicle service appointment based on the service history information. In response to receiving a booking confirmation, the dispenser is configured to cause a vehicle service appointment to be booked with a vehicle service station.

In some embodiments, fast and secure communication can be achieved (e.g., in a fueling environment payment system) with systems and methods that validate an authentication request based on one or more pre-validated cryptographic keys.

A method for adapting and providing graphical communications in a dispensing environment is provided and can include receiving first data characterizing a vehicle in a dispensing environment and second data characterizing a vehicle operator. Vehicle attributes can be determined based on the first data and an identity of the operator can be determined based on the second data. Various exemplary methods and devices for fuel dispenser electronic communication are provided. In general, a fuel dispenser can be configured to electronically communicate with a network cloud to access cloud technology services. The communication can be direct, e.g., without the fuel dispenser communicating with the cloud network through an intermediary such as a fuel dispenser forecourt controller. The fuel dispenser can include a communication module configured to electronically communicate with the network cloud. The communication module can be on board the dispenser.

A method of controlling a fuel pump includes receiving a first set of data characterizing an audible activation word including a first voice pattern. Control of the fuel pump is authorized in response to the first voice pattern matching a stored voice pattern within a database. A second set of data characterizing an audible command word is received, where the audible command word includes a second voice pattern. The fuel pump is controlled based on the audible command word in response to the second voice pattern matching the stored voice pattern within the database.
