A stabilizer for a firearm includes a mount, a first member, and a release mechanism. The release member may include a depressible component that is configured to move from an undepressed position to a depressed position. When the depressible component is in the undepressed position, the release mechanism may be configured to prevent a movement of the first member along a longitudinal axis relative to the mount. When the depressible component is in the depressed position, the release mechanism may be configured to allow the movement of the first member along the longitudinal axis relative to the mount.

A cam race comprising a hardened material (harder than a material of an upper receiver) is provided to increase durability of a firearm. The cam race is fit within a groove within an interior sidewall of an upper receiver of the firearm. The cam race comprises a body that is fit within the groove, and a plurality of fastener pins extending away from a rear face of the body that fit within corresponding through-holes of the upper receiver. Distal ends of each of the fastener pins are deformed to form a riveted connection between the cam race and the upper receiver. The cam race defines a slide face along which a cam pin of the firearm slides during a firing process, thereby increasing the durability of the firearm against undesired formation of defects within the interior sidewall of the upper receiver.

An assembly for directing propellant gas to an action of a firearm includes a barrel and a gas block. The barrel has a plurality of gas ports that communicate with the bore of the barrel. The barrel and the gas block define a passage that receives pressurized propellant gas from the bore by way of the barrel gas ports, and directs the propellant gas to a gas port of the gas block. The plurality of barrel gas ports and the passage act as a manifold in which the propellant gas is taken from multiple locations within the barrel, combined into a single flow, and directed into the gas block via the gas block gas port. The pressurized gas is then routed to an action of the firearm by way of a gas tube and a gas key.

A lower receiver chassis comprising a body that is configured to receive an upper receiver. The body may define a magazine well that is configured to receive a magazine, and a lower handguard portion that is forward of the magazine well. The lower handguard portion may be configured to be coupled to an upper handguard portion.

A scope mount cap may include a lower surface, a single lateral groove being open on a top side and on both lateral ends of the single lateral groove, and a recess on each lateral side of the scope mount cap defined at each of the respective lateral ends of the single lateral groove. The single lateral groove may be laterally shorter at a bottom side opposite the top side than at the top side. A scope mount may engage the scope mount cap and may include a body configured to attach to an upper receiver of the firearm and define a lower scope mount portion. The body may define at least one lateral accessory mount point comprising an opening extending in a lateral direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, the opening defined at a height below a height of the passage.

A release mechanism assembly for a stock of a firearm may comprise a first member, a first release mechanism, and a second release mechanism. The first release mechanism and the second release mechanism may be collectively configured to selectively prevent and allow the stock to move from a fully extended state to a partially extended state, and from the partially extended state to a fully collapsed state. The first release mechanism and the second release mechanism may be each configured to move with the first member while the stock moves between the fully extended state, the partially extended state, and the fully collapsed state.
