A disposable reservoir unit configured for releasable attachment to a reusable drive unit of an injection device includes a reservoir holder for holding a reservoir, two radially extending and oppositely arranged protrusions for releasably attaching the reservoir unit to the drive unit, and a needle cover sleeve guided by guiding means and movable along the longitudinal axis relative to the reservoir holder between a covering position and a retracted position. In a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis the needle cover sleeve has a first outer dimension along a first axis and a second outer dimension along a second axis perpendicular to the first axis, the first outer dimension is larger than the second outer dimension, and the protrusions are arranged on the first axis.

The invention relates to an injection unit, preferably a pen-shaped injection unit, for administering or delivering a fluid product. The injection unit comprises a housing, an axially movable piston rod mounted in the housing in a non-rotatable manner, a delivery apparatus having a threaded nut that is able to move the piston rod in order to deliver product, a dosing device having a dosing sleeve, a rotary knob, a discharge button arranged coaxially on the dosing sleeve, and a receptacle for the product. The dosing device is connected to the delivery apparatus via a coupling mechanism, wherein the coupling mechanism includes of at least two coupling surfaces that each carry a toothing comprising teeth, wherein the coupling surfaces are used to generate an acoustic and/or tactile signal corresponding to the set or corrected dose of the product to be administered during the dosing operation or during correction of the dose.

A housing for a drug delivery device for administrating a liquid drug from a cartridge includes a recess for accommodating a proximal portion of the cartridge and a deformable member arranged inside the recess. The deformable member includes a proximal end attached to the housing and a distal end movable within the recess. The deformable member is deformable from a non-deformed state to a deformed state by a displacement of the distal end. In the deformed state the deformable member is adapted to limit a movement of a cartridge in the longitudinal direction relative to the housing. The deformable member further includes an arch, and in the deformed state the arch is deformed both elastically and plastically.

An injection device for dispensing a drug from a reservoir through a needle includes a housing defining a longitudinal axis, a drive member movable relative to the housing to dispense the drug, a spring member operatively coupled the drive member to move the drive member in a dispensing direction, and a needle cover movable along the longitudinal axis relative to the housing between a needle covering position and a retracted position defining a needle cover movement along a first distance. Additionally, the spring member is operatively coupled to the needle cover such that the needle cover movement causes the spring member to compress or expand.

An autoinjector for discharging one or more liquid products includes: a housing containing a multichamber product container, which includes a syringe body and an injection needle rigidly arranged at the distal end of the syringe body. The syringe body includes a first chamber for a first liquid product, a second chamber for a second liquid product, and a bypass for fluidically connecting the first chamber and second chamber. The bypass is formed in or on the syringe body in the form of a curved section protruding radially outwards, and two plungers are arranged in the syringe body in an axially movable manner.

An electronic module configured for releasable attachment to a medicament delivery device ( 20 ) includes a printed circuit board ( 16 c ) with an electronic circuit ( 29 ), a battery ( 16 b ), and a switch for activating the electronic module ( 16 ). The switch includes an electric activation contact ( 28 ) providing a connection with the electronic circuit ( 29 ) and a battery contact extension ( 27 ) extending from a terminal ( 16 d, 16 e ) of the battery ( 16 b ). The battery contact extension ( 27 ) is biased towards the electric contact ( 28 ) for closing a switching or air gap ( 30 ) between the battery contact extension ( 27 ) and the electric activation contact ( 28 ), and the battery contact extension ( 27 ) is configured to engage an actuation element ( 11, 6 ) of the medicament delivery device ( 20 ) such that the actuation element ( 11, 6 ) pushes the battery contact extension ( 27 ) against the bias thereby creating the switching or air gap ( 30 ).

A method for establishing a secure connection for transmitting data between a medical device system and a mobile device with wireless communication module is provided, where the medical device system comprises one or multiple devices, where the method comprises multiple steps. On the basis of a non-secure connection, a secure connection is established on the basis of a joint movement of mobile device and at least one device of the medical device system. Movement data are evaluated for this purpose.

An electronic module configured for releasable attachment to a medicament delivery device ( 20 ) includes a printed circuit board ( 16 c ) with an electronic circuit ( 29 ), a battery ( 16 b ), and a switch for activating the electronic module ( 16 ). The switch includes an electric activation contact ( 28 ) providing a connection with the electronic circuit ( 29 ) and a battery contact extension ( 27 ) extending from a terminal ( 16 d, 16 e ) of the battery ( 16 b ). An infusion set includes a base part for attaching to the skin of a patient. A cannula for supplying a liquid medicament into the body of the patient is provided on the distal side of the base part. Additionally, a cap part for holding the infusion set by means of the patient or an insertion device or a piercing aid is provided, a needle being provided on the distal side thereof. The base part and the cap part can be connected together in order to attach the base part connected to the cap part to the skin of the patient. The needle is arranged within the cannula, with the tip of the needle having a conical shape, and the needle is made of a solid material.

An injection device ( 1 ) includes a reservoir unit ( 10 ) and a drive unit ( 20 ) releasably attachable to the reservoir unit. The reservoir unit ( 10 ) includes a reservoir ( 19 ), a reservoir holder ( 16 ) for holding the reservoir ( 19 ), a coupling member ( 17 ) and a machine-readable tag providing information and including a tag antenna ( 15 ). In an attached state, a center of the tag antenna ( 15 ) and a center of the reader antenna ( 25 ) are arranged to each other at an angle between 60° to 120° around the longitudinal axis.
