A casino cage cashout system includes integrated chip validation and transaction record generation. The system includes an interface to a chip reader. An output of the chip reader is used to generate chip information, including chip value, such as for causing an automated cash dispenser to dispense cash in an amount equal to the value of the chips being redeemed. The cage cashout system is also integrated with an anti-money laundering (AML) system, wherein the cage cashout system automatically generates a transaction report which include information regarding the chip cashout and transmits that report to the AML system.

A system and method are provided for consolidating data from various casino systems to a central system, automatically performing due diligence on patron profiles using internal and external data, automatically identifying unusual patron profiles and transactions, and generating, submitting, and tracking AML reports.

An improved financial terminal automatically reconfigures into different financial processing terminal types. In one embodiment, the terminal comprises a housing; a card reader configured to accept at least a portion of a card having an integrated circuit; at least one display; at least one processor; and at least one memory configured to store machine readable code, the machine readable code comprising a first kernel corresponding to a first transaction type and a second kernel corresponding to a second transaction type.

A casino gaming system includes gaming machines which are configured to accept and read tickets. The ticket may comprise cash-value tickets or non-cash value/promotional tickets. The tickets may also include secondary feature triggering indicia. The player may present the cash-value ticket having a feature triggering indicia or a non-cash value/promotional ticket to a gaming machine, such as by inserting it into a media reader such as a bill acceptor. Associated monetary value or non-monetary credits may be credited to the machine. In addition, if the ticket includes a feature triggering indicia, when such an indicia is detected, the gaming machine preferably triggers or initiates the feature.

Apparatus and methods are provided for facilitating the funding of gaming. Relative to a gaming table, a player may provide a commercial bank card to access funds via a table client. A request for funds from an account associated with the bank card is transmitted to a banking network. Upon approval, a monetary value voucher is generated, such as by a casino voucher system, and is printed and provided to the player at the gaming table. The player may redeem the voucher for funds, such as monetary value gaming chips for wagering at the gaming table.

A casino credit access instrument comprises a source of funds for a player, such as for placing wagers to play casino-style games or to purchase other goods or services. The instrument defines a period of timed during which credit may be accessed up to a predetermined amount, defines a redemption period during which any accessed credit may be re-paid, and defines settlement terms if the instrument is not redeemed. Controls may be utilized which control access to the credit. Credit may be granted based upon financial collateral, which collateral may be executed upon to settle the instrument. The instrument provides a convenient source of funding for players at low risk to the casino or other lender.

In accordance with a method and system for facilitating redemption of monetary value gaming tickets, such as issued by a gaming device upon cash-out, a ticket is presented, such as to a redemption kiosk. If the ticket is validated and has a monetary value which includes a fractional currency value, then the player is presented with an opportunity to play one or more games, such as slot games or entry games based upon a wager comprising at least the fractional currency value of the ticket, wherein winnings may be paid in a whole value as part of the ticket redemption or as separate prizes, whereby dispensing of fractional value, such as coins, may be avoided.

Casino monetary systems and methods of processing casino monetary transactions are configured to read or scan an ID of a customer associated with a monetary value transaction, to transmit that ID information to a remote authentication vendor for authentication, to then use that authentication information as part of a transaction approval process and to create a transaction record, such as relative to an anti-money laundering (AML) system.
