A method for assisting the management of a vessel comprising at least one tank configured to contain liquefied gas and a vapor phase treatment system capable of sending boil-off gas exiting the tank to a propulsion engine of the vessel or to a gas combustion unit on board the vessel and capable of extracting a portion of the liquid phase contained in the tank and of evaporating this portion in order to send it to the propulsion engine. The method comprises: generating at least one tank management scenario defining an evolution of the pressure of the gas phase contained in the tank along a path of the vessel; computing a cost function that at least depends on a total amount of boil-off gas generated in the tank along the path; and displaying to a user the tank management scenario as a function of the computed cost function.

A method for assembling and installing a liquefied gas storage tank, wherein the liquefied gas storage installation includes a load-bearing structure and a sealed and thermally insulated tank arranged in the load-bearing structure, in which so-called adjacent members of a sealing membrane of a cofferdam wall of a main structure of the tank protrude partially into a liquid dome, the so-called adjacent membranes directly sealably fastened to so-called adjacent membranes of the liquid dome.

The invention relates to a sealed and thermally insulating tank for storing fluid, comprising, from the outside to the inside of the tank, a secondary thermally insulating barrier and a secondary sealing membrane, the secondary sealing membrane being secured to the secondary thermally insulating barrier, a primary thermally insulating barrier resting against the secondary sealing membrane and a primary sealing membrane resting against the primary thermally insulating barrier, the tank comprising a duct that extends along a longitudinal direction, the duct being delimited on one hand by the secondary thermally insulating barrier and on the other hand by the secondary sealing membrane, a bottom of the duct being at least in part formed by the secondary thermally insulating barrier, the tank further comprising a pressure-drop stopper that is arranged in the duct and extends between the bottom of the duct and the sealing membrane.

Described is a sealed and thermally-insulating tank for storing liquefied gas which includes first and second tank walls joined at an edge, first and second primary thermally-insulating barrier supported by a support, and an anchor element. The anchor element includes a corner anchor rod extending in a direction that crosses the direction of the edge in an extension plane inclined at a non-zero angle relative to each of the first and second tank walls. The anchor element also includes an anchor bar anchored in the supporting structure and extending in a plane perpendicular to the direction of the anchor rod. A first end of the anchor rod cooperates with the anchor bar, and a second end of the anchor rod cooperates with an anchor strip to transmit a traction force between the anchor strip and a support.

The present invention concerns a method for controlling the trim of a transport ship without seawater ballast ( 1 ), having a width l considered along a transverse axis (y′y) of the ship ( 1 ), said ship ( 1 ) having an unladen weight P v between 20% and 60% inclusive of its total weight P T , allowing for a given maximum load weight capacity P TC , in accordance with the formula: P T =P v +P TC at least one first and one second closed liquid tank ( 3 ′ or 3 ″) not communicating with the sea, the total weight P RT of which when entirely filled with a liquid of specific gravity equal to 1 represents between 2% and 8%, preferably between 3% and 6%, of said unladen weight P V , said tanks ( 3′, 3 ″) being in communication via at least one line to transfer liquid from one to the other and being at a distance d from one another, considering the respective geometric center of each of said tanks ( 3″, 3 ″), at least equal to ½ when the tanks ( 3′, 3 ″) are positioned facing one another essentially along the transverse axis (y′y): d≥½.

A method for supplying gas to a gas-consuming apparatus provided on a ship including a tank containing the gas in the liquid state and in the gaseous state, in which the method includes: supplying the gas-consuming apparatus with gas withdrawn in the gaseous state from the tank and by a supply unit; condensing at least a part of the gas withdrawn in the gaseous state from the tank by a condensation unit having at least one heat exchanger configured to perform a heat exchange between gas withdrawn between the supply unit and the gas-consuming apparatus and gas flowing between the tank and the supply unit; and cooling the heat exchanger prior to the condensing and at least partially simultaneously with the supplying.

A sealed and thermally insulating tank for storing fluid has a wall including a supporting structure, a primary thermal insulation barrier and a primary sealing membrane lying against the primary thermal insulation barrier, contacting the stored fluid. The primary thermal insulation barrier includes a primary insulating panel which includes a bearing zone collaborating with an anchoring device bearing against the bearing zone of the external rigid plate holding it toward the supporting structure. The primary thermal insulation barrier includes a reinforcing insulating plug extending, in the thickness direction, from the bearing zone of the external rigid plate to a specific zone of the primary sealing membrane to take up the compressive forces on the specific zone of the primary sealing membrane. The reinforcing insulating plug includes a polymer foam layer having a compressive yield strength greater than that of the polymer foam layer of the primary insulating panel.

A sealed and thermally insulating tank has a bottom wall and a ceiling wall where at least a first pipe and a second pipe pass through the ceiling wall. The tank is equipped with a support foot that passes through the bottom wall that is fastened to the load-bearing structure with a guide device that is fastened to the support foot. The guide device is configured to guide the first pipe and second pipe in translation in the vertical direction where the guide device has a first collar disposed around the entirety of the first pipe and a second collar is disposed around the entirety of the second pipe. A support plate is fastened to the support foot. A first linking arm links the first collar to the support plate. A second linking arm links the second collar to the support plate.

The invention relates to a method for managing maintenance for a ship comprising a sealed and thermally insulating tank for transporting liquefied gas. The method comprises the steps consisting in determining 310 a current filling level of the tank, determining 320 a current state of movement of the ship, determining 330 a current sloshing index IBi from the current filling level of the tank and the current state of movement of the ship, taking into account the position and the geometry of the tank, integrating 340 the determined current sloshing index IBi into a wear index IUi that takes into account a history of the sloshing indices. The wear index is then compared to a threshold in order to indicate if the tank needs to be inspected, depending on the result of the comparison.
