A method for providing a selected dependent message by a server may include providing, to a user terminal, a chat room in which messages are generated, at least some of the messages being distinguished as chat messages and dependent messages. The dependent messages may be dependent on one of the chat messages that serves as a base message. When at least one of the chat messages is a target chat message satisfying a predetermined condition, the method may also include providing, through the chat room, a selected dependent message corresponding to the target chat message.

Proposed are a method for providing a message change interface, and an electronic device supporting the same. The method may include receiving an input message through a chat room and providing a message change interface through the chat room, the message change interface being determined based on at least one piece of information from among information on the chat room and information associated with the input message when the at least one piece of information satisfies a preset criterion.

A communication system using user interfaces for executing the instant messenger is provided. The system receives, via a network, data corresponding to at least one chat room; displays, based on the data and in a user interface of the instant messenger application, a chat room list; in response to receiving, via the user interface, a user input that indicates focus on a displayed portion of a first chat room, displays, via the user interface, chat room information that comprises metadata corresponding to the first chat room; and based on a determination that a focusing time for the displayed portion of the first chat room satisfies a threshold: displays, via the user interface and during display of the chat room information, a chat preview window corresponding to the first chat room; and displays, in the chat preview window, at least one chat communication occurred in the first chat room.

A method for providing an instant messaging service is disclosed. When a target chat room that includes an unread message of a user account exists among one or more chat rooms in which the user account joins, a user terminal displays, on a chat room list screen, a graphic object indicating a target account that transmitted the unread message in an area corresponding to the target chat room. The method may further include displaying an icon indicating a topic of a thread including the unread message and providing summary information of the unread thread before the user enters the chat room. The disclosed method enhances user awareness of unread communications and related topics across multiple chat rooms within an instant messaging service.

A user terminal includes a display, at least one processor having processing circuitry, and a memory storing instructions. When executed, the instructions cause the user terminal to display a first chat room screen corresponding to a first chat room in which the user account and another user account participate. On the first chat room screen, the terminal obtains a query message input through a second chat room established between the user account and a virtual object assigned to the user account. Based on a response message generated using at least one message transmitted through the first chat room, the terminal displays the response message through the second chat room. The configuration allows the user to interact with the virtual object within the context of the first chat room, providing a private communication layer that utilizes prior chat data to generate contextually relevant responses.

A server includes at least one processor including processing circuitry, and a memory including one or more storage media storing instructions, wherein the instructions, when executed individually or collectively by the at least one processor, cause the server to provide a position-based chat room entry function. In response to an activation request from a host terminal of the chat room, the server determines a join area based on the position of the host terminal, generates a join code corresponding to the chat room, and transmits information about the generated join code to the host terminal. The server then activates the position-based chat room entry function based on the join code and the join area, allowing guest terminals located within the join area and providing the join code to join the chat room. This enables location-dependent participation while maintaining controlled and secure access through coordinated server processing and temporary join credentials.

A communication system using user interfaces for executing the instant messenger is provided. The system displays, in a user interface of an instant messenger application, a chatroom comprising a plurality of chat messages, receive, via the user interface, a first user input indicating a user selection of a chat section comprising one or more chat messages of the plurality of chat messages, receive, via the user interface, a second user input comprising an indication of one or more modifications to the chat section, wherein the one or more modifications comprise a modification to an output method of the chat section, generate a chat clip by generating, based on the modification to the output method, a modified version of the chat section, display, in the user interface, the chat clip, and cause a second computing device to display, in a second user interface of an instant messenger application, the chat clip.

Provided is a method of providing a qualification authentication result performed by a user terminal, the method including receiving a qualification authentication request for a user of the user terminal from an external device, performing access authentication to authentication information of a user account of the user in response to a selection input for the received qualification authentication request, and in response to the access authentication being successful, providing the external device with a qualification authentication result obtained by searching for target qualification information indicated by the qualification authentication request among qualification information registered in the authentication information of the user account.

Provided is a server including one or more processors configured to receive a chatroom generation request including subscription fee information for a chatroom usage pass from an operator terminal corresponding to an operator account, generate a chatroom set to be available to a subscriber account that subscribes to the chatroom usage pass in response to the chatroom generation request, receive a request to access the chatroom from a user terminal corresponding to a user account, and grant an access right for the chatroom to the user account based on the chatroom usage pass subscribed by the user account.

Proposed is a method for acquiring authorization of a member user in a chat room executed on a user terminal. The method may include displaying a chat room list comprising at least one chat room. The at least one chat room may include a general user and a member user. The method may also include, when a predefined condition related to content displayed in the at least one chat room is satisfied, converting authorization of a user account in a chat room of the at least one chat room from the general user to the member user.
