A power control unit is disclosed, comprising at least one power supply terminal for connection to a power supply, at least one load terminal for connection to a load, an electrical current path configured to connect the at least one power supply terminal to the at least one load terminal, a plurality of switches connected in series along the electrical current path, and control logic configured to determine a level of electrical power to be distributed from the power supply terminal to the load. The control logic is configured to distribute the determined level of electrical power to the load by pulse width and/or pulse frequency modulation, by independently controlling each of the switches to transition between an open-circuit state and a closed-circuit state to control the width and/or frequency of pulses supplied to the load. The power control unit may be included in an aerosol provision device. A method of operating control logic for a power control unit is also disclosed.

The present disclosure relates to an oral product, a process for producing the oral product, as well as to uses of said oral product. A first aspect of the oral product comprises a combination of active ingredients, wherein the combination comprises: (i) maca root or an extract thereof; (ii) a combination of B vitamins comprising at least two selected from vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B6, vitamin B9 and vitamin B12; (iii) ginseng or an extract thereof; and (iv) Coenzyme Q10, wherein the weight ratio of maca root or the extract thereof, to Coenzyme Q10, is about 50:1 to about 1:10; wherein the oral product does not include caffeine. A second aspect of the oral product comprises a combination of active ingredients, wherein the combination comprises: (i) maca root or an extract thereof; (ii) a combination of at least three B vitamins selected from vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin B9 and vitamin B12; and (iii) ginseng or an extract thereof; wherein the oral product does not include caffeine.

The present disclosure relates to an oral product, a process for producing the oral product, as well as to uses of said oral product. The oral product comprises a combination of active ingredients, wherein the combination comprises: caffeine; a combination of at least two B vitamins selected from vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B5, vitamin B6, vitamin B7, vitamin B9, and vitamin B12; and beta-alanine.

The present disclosure provides pouched products that include an outer water-permeable pouch defining a cavity; and a composition adapted for oral use situated within the cavity, the composition including at least one water-soluble component, a substantially spherical filler component in an amount of about 60% or more by dry weight of the composition, and water in an amount of about 30% or less by weight of the composition, wherein the average particle size of the substantially spherical filler component is about 350 microns to about 650 microns.

An aerosol provision device is provided. The aerosol provision device can include a heater assembly configured to heat aerosol generating material, an indicator assembly and a controller. The controller is configured to cause the heater assembly to heat the aerosol generating material and determine a characteristic of the heater assembly. If the determined characteristic satisfies at least one criterion, the controller is configured to cause the indicator assembly to indicate that the device is ready for use.

This invention relates to process for preparing beads for use as an aerosol-generating material in an aerosol provision system comprising extruding a mixture to form an extrudate, cutting the extrudate to form beads; and drying the beads at a temperature no higher than 45° C. to reduce their moisture content to no less than about 10% by weight. This invention also relates to the aerosol-generating material comprising at least one said bead, as well as to articles comprising the aerosol-generating material.

A method of automating actions of a non-combustible aerosol provision system involves receiving input indicative of a rule to be set for the non-combustible aerosol provision system. The rule includes at least one condition and at least one action to be performed by the non-combustible aerosol provision system in response to the at least one condition being satisfied. The method also involves detecting that the at least one condition is satisfied and causing the non-combustible aerosol provision system to perform the at least one action.

An aerosol provision device is provided. The device comprises a receptacle configured to receive aerosol generating material, wherein the aerosol generating material is heatable by a susceptor. The device further comprises an inductor coil extending around the receptacle, wherein the inductor coil is configured to generate a varying magnetic field for heating the susceptor. The device further comprises a magnetic shield member extending at least partially around the inductor coil.

An aerosol provision device is provided. The aerosol provision device is configured to heat at least part of an article comprising aerosol generating material. The aerosol provision device comprises a receptacle for receiving at least a portion of the article. The receptacle comprising a reflecting surface arranged to reflect electromagnetic radiation towards the article. The reflecting surface has a minimum reflectivity of electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength between 1000 nm and 700 nm of at least 60%.

An application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) package for use in an electrical or electronic device is disclosed, the ASIC package comprising a plurality of functional units and a plurality of terminals. Each functional unit is configured with control logic operable to provide a discrete monitoring and/or control function associated with an aspect of operation of the electrical or electronic device. Each terminal comprises a plurality of input and/or output terminals, each input and/or output terminal being connected to at least one of the functional units. An operating status of each of the functional units is independently configurable into one of an enabled and non-enabled operational state, and the ASIC package is configured to be set into a target functional configuration selected from a plurality of different functional configurations. Each of the plurality of functional configurations comprises a different combination of operating states associated with respective ones of the plurality of functional units. In this way, the ASIC package provides a degree of customisability of supported functions, enabling the same ‘master’ ASIC package (e.g. the as-fabricated ASIC package) to be modified after manufacture to tailor the supported function set to a specific one of a plurality of devices.
