A connector for connecting conductor end portions of stranded conductors of two power cables sections, each stranded conductor including a plurality of wire layers, each conductor end portion being arranged tapering in an axial direction towards a tip of the respective stranded conductor in steps, wire layer by wire layer. The connector including: a plurality of sleeves configured to be arranged concentrically, wherein each sleeve includes a first sleeve part provided with radially outwards extending first flanges and a second sleeve part provided with radially outwards extending second flanges, wherein when the first sleeve part and the second sleeve part of the same sleeve are assembled with each other, each first flange is configured to face a respective second flange, a plurality of fasteners, wherein each pair of first sleeve part and second sleeve part is configured to be arranged around and clamp a respective correspondingly sized step of both conductor end portions by means of a respective subset of the fasteners arranged to connect the first flanges and the second flanges, and resilient members configured to be arranged between the first flanges and second flanges of the sleeves to provide elasticity between each pair of first sleeve part and second sleeve part, wherein each intermediate sleeve and the outermost sleeve has axial slots configured to receive the first flanges and second flanges of at least a next size smaller sleeve of the plurality of sleeves.

A static AC submarine power cable configured for at least 72 kV operation including: a power core including: a conductor, an insulation system surrounding the conductor, and a smooth metallic water-blocking sheath surrounding the insulation system, wherein the metallic water-blocking sheath includes stainless steel.

A joint connector for connecting a first conductor of a first power cable length and a second conductor of a second power cable length, the first conductor including a first metal material and the second conductor including a second metal material, the second metal material being different from the first metal material, wherein the joint connector includes a tubular metal body being made of the second metal material and having a central axis extending from a first end of the metal body to a second end of the metal body, wherein the first end is provided with an axially extending opening adapted to receive the first conductor, and wherein the metal body includes at least one radially extending through-opening, connecting with the axially extending opening, the radially extending through-opening being adapted to receive at least one fastener for clamping the first conductor when received within the axially extending opening, and wherein the second end is a closed end, the closed end including an end face adapted to be welded to the second conductor.

There is provided an HVDC cable accessory comprising an electric stress control layer which at one position is adapted to be connected to an HVDC cable, wherein the HVDC cable accessory is prefabricated, and the electric stress control layer comprises a thermoplastic elastomer.

A power cable including: a conductor, an insulation system arranged around the conductor, a tape arrangement forming an interface between the conductor and the insulation system, the tape arrangement having one or several layers of which a first layer has an inner facing surface arranged to face the conductor, wherein the inner facing surface of the first layer of the tape arrangement is coated with friction enhancing material.

Power cable accessory assembly having: a power cable including: a conductor, and an electrical insulation layer arranged around the conductor, wherein the electrical insulation layer has a main section and an end section, the end section having a smaller diameter than the main section; a fastening device engaging with the electrical insulation layer in the end section, and a connector extending around the end section of the electrical insulation layer, the connector being mechanically connected to the conductor, wherein the connector has an inner surface provided with a structure that engages with the fastening device to maintain an axially fixed position between the connector and the electrical insulation layer.

A submarine power cable having: a conductor; an insulation system including at least a first semiconducting layer provided around the conductor, and an insulation layer provided around the first semiconducting layer; and a laminate water barrier structure provided around the insulation system, the laminate water barrier structure including a metallic foil and an adhesive polymer layer arranged in direct contact with the metallic foil. The adhesive polymer layer is obtained from a composition including a base polymer in an amount of at least 50 wt % and an additive being graphene, graphene or graphite nanoplatelets, graphene oxide, reduced graphene oxide and/or graphite in an amount of between 0.05 wt % and 10 wt %, preferably between 0.25 wt % and 5 wt %, more preferably between 0.5 wt % and 2 wt %, based on the weight of the composition.

A submarine power cable including: a conductor; an insulation system including at least a first semiconducting layer provided around the conductor, and an insulation layer provided around the first semiconducting layer; a water barrier layer surrounding the insulation system. The water barrier layer is obtained from a composition including a base polymer in an amount of at least 50 wt % and an additive being graphene, graphene or graphite nanoplatelets, graphene oxide, reduced graphene oxide and/or graphite in an amount of between 0.05 wt % and 10 wt %, preferably between 0.25 wt % and 6 wt %, more preferably between 0.5 wt % and 2 wt %, based on the weight of the composition.

A submarine power cable including a conductor and an insulation system. The cable having a first cable section, a second cable section, and a joint region between the first cable section and the second cable section, and the conductor having a conductor joint in the joint region. The cable further including an armour including a plurality of elongated elements arranged around the insulation system the armour including a first single layer armour layer. Wherein, in the cable sections, the elongated elements of the first single layer armour layer include a plurality of cable section armouring elements and a plurality of filler elements, wherein, in the joint region, the elongated elements of the first single layer armour layer include a plurality of joint region armouring elements, the stiffness of the first single layer armour layer being higher in the joint region than in the first and second cable sections.

A submarine power cable, including: a conductor, an insulation system arranged around the conductor, the insulation system including an inner semiconducting layer, an insulation layer arranged around the inner semiconducting layer, and an outer semiconducting layer arranged around the insulation layer, a metallic water blocking layer arranged around the insulation system, the metallic water blocking layer having a longitudinal weld seam, and a metallic tape arranged radially outside the metallic water blocking layer, wherein the metallic tape extends axially along and is bonded to the weld seam.
