A target sight for a firearm includes a lip on a front end of the target sight configured to be inserted into a mating slot of a receiving portion of the firearm, a bottom surface configured to interface with the receiving portion of the firearm, a first feature extending from the bottom surface configured to interface with the receiving portion of the firearm, a second feature extending from the bottom surface configured to interface with the receiving portion of the firearm, a rear landing on a rear end of the target sight opposite the front end, an iron sight configured to sit on the rear landing, and at least one fastener structured to clamp the rear landing between the iron sight and the firearm, thereby securing the target sight to the firearm.

A quick disconnect assembly for a sling mount includes a cup having a top portion and a shaft portion connected to the top portion, the cup defining a non-circular through-opening and a recess that extends axially part way into the shaft portion. A post includes a post body extending axially between a first end portion and a second end, the first end portion having one or more protrusions. The post is configured to pass through the through-opening in the cup when the post is in an unlocked position with the protrusion(s) aligned with the through-opening. Rotating the post to a locked position aligns the protrusion(s) with the recess, which can define a plus shape with the through opening. A mounting body on the second end of the post defines or can include an attachment point. A spring is on the post between the mounting body and the cup.

Disclosed is an extractor for an autoloading firearm, the extractor having an extractor body extending a proximal end portion to a distal end portion. A knuckle is between the proximal end portion and the distal end portion and defines a pin opening extending crosswise through the extractor, where the pin opening has an elongated shape. During rearward movement of the bolt after firing, the elongated opening enables the extractor to shift downward and/or forward so that part of the extractor contacts the bolt, thereby preventing the extractor from pivoting about the extractor pin.

A firearm accessory mounted to a firearm accessory rail and allowing adjustment of the accessory relative to the firearm accessory rail includes an indexing member having a tab structured to engage with one of the series of slots of the firearm accessory rail, and having two or more indexing slots, the two or more indexing slots spaced apart from one another at a distance less than the regular pitch interval of the accessory rail, and a single clamp having a crossmember structured to engage with one of the two or more indexing slots, the single clamp structured to simultaneously secure the accessory and the indexing member to the firearm accessory rail in a single clamping action.

A firearm gas block assembly has a gas block configured to be attached to a firearm barrel, the gas block defining a gas passage and a valve opening in fluid communication with the gas passage. A valve body is sealingly received in the valve opening and defines an outlet port, a first valve opening of a first size, and a second valve opening of a second size different from the first size. Each of the first valve opening and the second valve opening fluidly communicate with the outlet port. The valve body is movable between a first position in which the first valve opening is aligned with the gas passage and a second position in which the second valve opening is aligned with the gas passage. The valve provides two discrete gas settings selectable by hand without the need for tools.

A recoil assembly for a rifle includes a barrel assembly, a bolt, bolt actuator, and a buffer assembly. The barrel assembly includes a barrel secured to a barrel extension. The barrel assembly is slidably received in the receiver and the barrel extension is coupled to a hydraulic buffer assembly located below the barrel extension. The hydraulic buffer assembly is configured and arranged to arrest rearward movement of the barrel assembly when the rifle is fired. An op-rod spring is coupled to an op rod extending that can be actuated by a gas piston assembly on the barrel. The op-rod spring is configured and arranged to arrest rearward movement of the bolt assembly.

A multi-projectile ammunition cartridge has a casing that extends along a central axis to a mouth, the casing having an internal surface and an external surface. An inside surface of the casing adjacent the mouth is parallel to the central axis while the external surface has a slight taper relative to the central axis. Two or more coaxially aligned projectiles are retained within the parallel portion of the casing adjacent the mouth, each projectile having a tapered nose and a rear cavity, where a nose profile of a rearward one of the projectiles differs from the a cavity profile of a forward adjacent one of the projectiles.

Examples provide a compensator for a firearm. In one example, a firearm assembly includes a firearm having a barrel defining a projectile bore along a bore axis, an attachment mechanism coupled to the firearm and configured to mount the firearm to a movable platform, and a compensator attached to the barrel. The compensator may have a body that defines at least one compensator port configured to vent a portion of gases exiting the barrel upon firing the firearm. In one example, the compensator is oriented on the barrel to direct the portion of gases vented through the at least one compensator port in a direction to counteract angular recoil forces on the movable platform to which the firearm is mounted, the angular recoil forces being caused upon firing of the firearm.

A suppressor heat shield is configured for use with a firearm suppressor. In one variant, the heat shield can be secured to the suppressor at its distal end using a retaining ring between the heat shield and the suppressor distal end. In another variant, the heat shield can be secured to a proximal end of the suppressor or suppressor mount via fasteners that extend through a mount portion of the heat shield and into threaded bosses on the proximal end of the suppressor or suppressor mount. The inside of the heat shield can include leaf springs arranged to reduce or eliminate movement and vibration. The geometry of stand-offs and other structures between the heat shield and the suppressor can be selected to reduce conductive heat transfer from the suppressor to the heat shield. A suppressor assembly that includes the heat shield is also disclosed.

A handgun having an integrated optic and an improved striker design. The striker may be designed such that it sits lower within the slide of the handgun, thus providing further clearance above the striker for the optic. In some examples, the striker includes an offset tip (as opposed to a coaxially-aligned tip) that allows the striker body to sit lower within the slide of the handgun. In some examples, the striker incorporates more than one spring to reduce the diameter of the main body, thus providing more clearance above the striker. Due at least in part to the altered design of the striker, the optic is arranged on the slide of the handgun such that the top surface of the optic body is aligned with the top surface of the slide.
