An article of headwear includes a head covering panel having a first lateral side and a second lateral side. A first ear loop is connected to a first lateral side of the head covering panel. The first ear loop defines an elongated narrow center portion positioned between an enlarged first end and an enlarged second end opposite the first end. The enlarged first end of the first ear loop is connected to an upper portion of the first lateral side of the head covering panel and the enlarged second end of the first ear loop is connected to a lower portion of the first lateral side of the head covering panel. The enlarged first end overlaps the enlarged second end along the first lateral side of the head covering panel. The ear loop is provided by a free-cut piece of fabric including a first surface and an opposing second surface.

A method of determining an amount of fiber loss or fiber shedding from a fabric material after washing of the fabric material includes providing a sample of the fabric material within a container, adding water into the container to facilitate contact of the water with a surface of the sample, agitating the water within the container for a predetermined period of time so as to cause fibers to be released from the fabric material and entrained in the water, after agitating, transferring the water with entrained fibers from the container into a fiber collection system to obtain captured fibers, and analyzing the captured fibers to determine a degree of fibers shed from the fabric material. A method of determining a quality of fiber material based upon fiber shedding from the material is also described.

Methods, apparatus, computer applications, and systems are provided for enabling identification of content to be compiled into a shopping application at a user device. In one embodiment, a general layout for a number of content modules to be displayed and identifying information for content to be inserted are provided from a network server to a user device, the user device then calls the appropriate content and utilizes the layout to generate a page for display to the user natively. One specific variant, activity and profile data collected at the user device via a separate application may be stored at the network and used to select content by the server.

An article of footwear includes a sole, an upper coupled to the sole and having an inner surface and an outer surface, the upper being configured to receive at least a portion of a human foot within an interior cavity at least partially defined by the upper, a plurality of eyelets disposed on the upper, each eyelet including a pair of openings disposed in the upper, and a cord threaded through the pair of openings of each eyelet of the plurality of eyelets such that the cord includes a series of unexposed portions and a series of exposed portions. The series of exposed portions are disposed more proximate to the outer surface of the upper than the inner surface of the upper.

An article of apparel includes protective padding adapted to contour to the wearer. In an embodiment, the protective panel is a multilayered panel including a foam layer, a fabric layer, and a bonding layer located between the foam layer and the fabric layer. The foam layer may be formed of auxetic foam. Alternatively or in addition to, the bonding layer may be a film including a plurality of openings, and each of the openings defines a reentrant shape.

An article of footwear includes an upper having a ribbon structure. The ribbon structure includes a first set of ribbon sections oriented substantially in a first direction, a second set of ribbon sections oriented substantially in a second direction that is perpendicular to the first direction, and a third set of ribbon sections oriented substantially in a third direction that is different from the first direction and the second direction. The first set of ribbon sections includes at least a first ribbon portion and the second set of ribbon sections includes at least a second ribbon portion, wherein the first ribbon portion and the second ribbon portion intersect at a node.

An article of footwear includes an upper, a first sole member, and a second sole member. The first sole member is connected to the upper. Together, the first sole member and the upper define a cavity. The first sole member includes an outer surface and a textured inner surface, the textured inner surface defining a pattern of shapes. The second sole member is positioned in the cavity. The second sole member includes a textured lower surface directly engaging the textured inner surface of the first sole member. The textured lower surface of the second sole member is complementary to the textured inner surface of the first sole member.

An article of headwear includes a crown portion dimensioned to cover a portion of a forehead of a wearer when the article of headwear is worn by the wearer, and a brim that extends transversely from the crown. The crown and brim are formed of a single unitary molded body including an upper fabric layer, a lower fabric layer that faces toward the head of the wearer, and an intermediate layer disposed between the upper fabric layer and the lower fabric layer, and each of the upper fabric layer, the lower fabric layer and the intermediate layer continuously extends between the crown and the brim. A transition angle is defined at a transition between the brim and the crown, wherein the transition angle is obtuse.

An article of apparel is configured to cover at least part of a human head. The article of apparel includes a multi-layer face shield and a fabric panel coupled to the face shield. The multi-layer face shield includes an outer layer, a middle layer and an inner layer and is configured to cover a mouth and a nose of the human head when the article of apparel is donned by a wearer. The fabric panel is coupled to the face shield and forms a posterior loop such that the fabric panel and face shield are configured to extend completely around the human head when the article of apparel is donned by the wearer.
