A method and a system of determining the position of a downhole tool in a borehole includes the steps of: introducing a downhole tool that has an actuating tool and a downhole measurement device into the borehole, receiving downhole data representing the borehole, where the downhole data include at least a first downhole landmark position representing a location of a landmark in the borehole, receiving a first signal from a downhole measurement device, the first signal representing a downhole landmark of a borehole and a measured position of the downhole landmark, comparing the first signal to the first landmark position of the downhole data and generating a first correction value, generating a first corrected depth value by correcting the first signal with the first correction value, and transmitting a first actuating signal to actuate the actuatable tool in a downhole position based on the first corrected depth value.

The present invention relates to a retrieval tool string for retrieving a fish with a profile facing a top of a well having a well tubular, where the fish is a well component intentionally or unintentionally left in a wellbore such as a plug, a straddle, or a tool, the retrieval tool string comprising a wireline fishing tool having a tool extension and comprising a wireline connection for connection to a wireline, an electric motor powered by the wireline, a first tool part and a second tool part, the first tool part being nearest the wireline connection and comprising the electric motor, and the second tool part comprising a fish profile engagement device for engaging the profile of the fish, wherein the first tool part and the second tool part have a disconnection arrangement for disconnecting the second tool part in the well. The invention also relates to a retrieval method for retrieving a fish in a well.

The present invention relates to a downhole tubing intervention tool for submerging into a casing in a wellbore and for selectively removing material from within the casing, the tool extending in a longitudinal direction, comprising a tool housing having a first housing part and a second housing part, a rotation unit, such as an electrical motor, arranged in the second housing part, and a rotatable shaft rotated by the rotation unit for rotating at least a first segment of abrasive material being connected with the first housing part and forming an abrasive edge, wherein the first segment is movable between a retracted position and a projected position in relation to the first housing part of the tool housing.

A downhole tool string includes a tool body, an operational machining tool for performing a machining operation in a well tubular metal structure, extendable from the tool body, and first and second distancing elements extendable from the tool body The distancing elements are pivotally connected to the tool body between a retracted position and a projected position. Each distancing element is configured to abut the inner surface of the well tubular metal structure to maintain a radial distance between the tool body and the wall of the well tubular metal structure. The distancing elements are operatively connected to a common piston, and are configured to be pivotally moved from their retracted positions to their projected position by an axial movement of the common piston.

A downhole method for preparing and/or providing isolation at a predetermined position in an existing well includes inserting a downhole tool comprising a bit on a projection part in a first well tubular metal structure, positioning the downhole tool opposite the predetermined position, separating an upper part of the first well tubular metal structure from a lower part of the first well tubular metal structure, moving the downhole tool along the longitudinal extension in the upper part to a second position, and separating a first part of the upper part of the first well tubular metal structure from a second part of the upper part of the first well tubular metal structure, thus providing an uncased opening between the second part of the first section and the second section.

A downhole tool, for removing a restriction in a well tubular metal structure having a wall and an inner diameter, has a tool axis and a tool body having a first part and a second part, an electrical motor arranged in the first part for rotating a rotatable shaft, and a core bit arranged in the second part and having a first end connected with the rotatable shaft and a second end having a cutting edge. The second part of the downhole tool further includes a locator for locating the rim section, the locator being rotable with the core bit until the locator locates the rim section and a threshold value is reached.

The present invention relates to a downhole tool string for displacing at least a tool section in a well in a radial direction in a wall of a well tubular metal structure extending along an axial direction in relation to the radial direction, comprising a tool body having an outer face and a tool centre axis along the axial direction, a centre plane extending along and enclosing the centre axis, dividing the tool body into a first body half and a second body half, an operational machining tool for performing a machining operation in the well tubular metal structure, such as drilling a hole in the wall, and extendable from the outer face of the first body half in a first radial direction in relation to the tool centre axis, and a first displacement element extendable from the outer face of the second body half of the tool body for displacing the tool body towards the wall for arranging the operational machining tool close to the wall, the first displacement element being extendable between a retracted position and a projected position, wherein the downhole tool string further comprises a first distancing element extendable from the outer face of the first body half, the first distancing element having a retracted position and a projected position, and in the projection position of the first distancing element a distance is provided between the outer face and the wall of the well tubular metal structure. A downhole tool, for removing a restriction in a well tubular metal structure having a wall and an inner diameter, has a tool axis and a tool body having a first part and a second part, an electrical motor arranged in the first part for rotating a rotatable shaft, and a core bit arranged in the second part and having a first end connected with the rotatable shaft and a second end having a cutting edge. The second part of the downhole tool further includes a locator for locating the rim section, the locator being rotable with the core bit until the locator locates the rim section and a threshold value is reached.

A downhole tool for determining laterals in a borehole wall or a borehole casing, comprising a tool housing extending along a longitudinal axis and having a circumference perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and a plurality of sonic transceivers. Each sonic transceiver transmitting sonic signals from the housing and receiving sonic signals reflected from the borehole wall or borehole casing in a predefined angular segment. The sonic transceivers are arranged along the circumference of the tool housing having a mutual distance and are capable of transmitting sonic signals radially away from the tool housing in an entire central angle of 360 degrees towards the borehole wall or borehole casing. During a pulse time, one sonic transceiver transmits a sonic signal in the predefined angular segment of that sonic transmitter, and one sonic transceiver, during a subsequent echo time, receives a reflected sonic signal from the borehole wall or borehole casing.

A downhole method for preparing and/or providing isolation at a predetermined position in an existing well having a top and a first well tubular metal structure arranged in a wellbore, the first well tubular metal structure having a longitudinal extension, comprising inserting a downhole tool comprising a bit on a projection part in the first well tubular metal structure, positioning the downhole tool opposite the predetermined position, separating a first section being an upper part of the first well tubular metal structure from a second section being a lower part of the first well tubular metal structure by machining into and along a circumference of the first well tubular metal structure, moving the downhole tool a predetermined distance along the longitudinal extension in the first section of the first well tubular metal structure to a second position above the predetermined position, and separating a first part of the first section of the first well tubular metal structure from a second part of the first section of the first well tubular metal structure by machining into and along a circumference of the first well tubular metal structure, providing an uncased opening between the second part of the first section and the second section.
