A plurality of integrated circuits each have a central interconnect region which is enclosed by an inner sealring, optional intermediate sealrings, and an outer sealring. Each sealring has a sealring gap for passage of a signal trace which connects a central interconnect of a first integrated circuit to a central interconnect of a second integrated circuit. In first example of the invention, the signal trace remains on a single layer and routes through sealring layer gaps between the first and second IC. In a second example of the invention, vias are used in gaps between sealrings for the signal trace to change layers such that the sealring gaps are not on the same layer. In a third example of the invention, the vias of the second example are replaced by capacitors with plates in adjacent layers.

A Bias Unit Element (UE) has a digital input and sign input, and comprises a positive Bias UE and a negative Bias UE, each comprising groups of NAND gates generating an output and a complementary output, each of which are coupled to differential charge transfer lines through binary weighted charge transfer capacitors to a differential charge transfer bus comprising a positive charge transfer line and a negative charge transfer line. The sign input enables the positive Bias UE when the sign bit is positive and enables the negative Bias UE when the sign bit is negative.

An Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) for a multiplier accumulator generates a digital output associated with a charge transfer bus made of weighted charge transfer lines with capacitance associated with each charge transfer line, the charge transfer bus connected to groups of ADC unit elements (UE) which add or remove charge from each line of the charge transfer line, each group of ADC unit elements having a sign bit input and a step size input and controlled by an ADC controller which switches the groups of ADC UE in a successive approximation according to a comparison of a summed charge from the weighted charge transfer lines until the ADC UE charge equals the charge transfer line capacitance, each comparison generating a bit value of the digital output.

An architecture for a multiplier-accumulator (MAC) uses a common Unit Element (UE) for each aspects of operation, the MAC formed as a plurality of MAC UEs, a plurality of Bias UEs, and a plurality of Analog to Digital Conversion (ADC) UEs which collectively perform a scalable MAC operation and generate a binary result. Each MAC UE, BIAS UE and ADC UE comprises groups of NAND gates with complementary outputs arranged in AND-groups, each AND gate coupled to a charge transfer bus through a charge transfer capacitor Cu to form an analog multiplication product. Each UE transfers differential charge to the charge transfer bus. The analog charge transfer bus is coupled to groups of ADC UEs with an ADC controller which enables and disables the ADC UEs using successive approximation to determine the accumulated multiplication result.

The present invention is an controller for dynamically allocating RAM between powersave code copied from ROM and transient RAM memory used for storing packets. When the utilization of the transient RAM memory is low, code segments are copied from ROM and executed from RAM using a RAM pointer table which is updated after the code segments are copied over from ROM, and when the utilization of the transient RAM memory is high, code segments are deallocated from RAM and the pointer table is updated to point to the corresponding location in flash ROM.

An AND or OR logic device has multiple layers of ferromagnetic material separated from each other by non-magnetic layers of electrically conductive material of atomic thickness, sufficient to generate anti-magnetic response in a magnetized layer. The anti-magnetic response in a layer below a layer magnetized with a polarity is summed in a region which is coupled to an output, the output generating at least one of a AND or OR logic function on applied input magnetization.

A multi-thread processor has a canonical thread map register which outputs a sequence of thread_id values indicating a current thread for execution. The thread map register is programmable to provide granularity of number of cycles of the canonical sequence assigned to each thread. In one example of the invention, the thread map register has repeating thread identifiers in a sequential or non-sequential manner to overcome memory latency and avoid thread stalls. In another example of the invention, separate interrupt tasks are placed on each thread to reduce interrupt processing latency.
