A downhole tool for determining laterals in a borehole wall or a borehole casing, comprising a tool housing extending along a longitudinal axis and having a circumference perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and a plurality of sonic transceivers. Each sonic transceiver transmitting sonic signals from the housing and receiving sonic signals reflected from the borehole wall or borehole casing in a predefined angular segment. The sonic transceivers are arranged along the circumference of the tool housing having a mutual distance and are capable of transmitting sonic signals radially away from the tool housing in an entire central angle of 360 degrees towards the borehole wall or borehole casing. During a pulse time, one sonic transceiver transmits a sonic signal in the predefined angular segment of that sonic transmitter, and one sonic transceiver, during a subsequent echo time, receives a reflected sonic signal from the borehole wall or borehole casing.

The present invention relates to a downhole tool for removing a restriction in a well tubular metal structure having a wall and an inner diameter, the restriction partly blocking the inner diameter, creating an opening defined at least partly by a rim section of the restriction, the downhole tool having a tool axis and comprising a tool body having a first part and a second part, an electrical motor arranged in the first part for rotating a rotatable shaft, a core bit arranged in the second part and having a first end connected with the rotatable shaft and a second end having a cutting edge, wherein the second part of the downhole tool further comprises a locator for locating the rim section, a collecting means for collecting part of the restriction to be cut out by the cutting edge, the locator and the collecting means are rotating with the core bit until the locator locates the rim section and a threshold value is reached.

A downhole method for preparing and/or providing isolation at a predetermined position in an existing well having a top and a first well tubular metal structure arranged in a wellbore, the first well tubular metal structure having a longitudinal extension, comprising inserting a downhole tool comprising a bit on a projection part in the first well tubular metal structure, positioning the downhole tool opposite the predetermined position, separating a first section being an upper part of the first well tubular metal structure from a second section being a lower part of the first well tubular metal structure by machining into and along a circumference of the first well tubular metal structure, moving the downhole tool a predetermined distance along the longitudinal extension in the first section of the first well tubular metal structure to a second position above the predetermined position, and separating a first part of the first section of the first well tubular metal structure from a second part of the first section of the first well tubular metal structure by machining into and along a circumference of the first well tubular metal structure, providing an uncased opening between the second part of the first section and the second section.

The present invention relates to a wireline plug system for setting a permanent plug in a well for plugging and abandonment, comprising a wireline pumping tool comprising a pump powered from surface via a wireline, the pump comprising a pump inlet and a pump outlet, the wireline pumping tool having a first end connected to the wireline and a second end, a plugging and abandonment plug comprising a first plug end and an opening in the first plug end, and an engagement tool for releasably connecting the plug to the wireline pumping tool, the engagement tool having a through-bore fluidly connecting the opening in the first plug end with the pump outlet, wherein the plugging and abandonment plug comprises a tubular metal part and an expandable metal sleeve surrounding and connected to an outer face of the tubular metal part, the tubular metal part having an expansion aperture fluidly connecting an inside of the tubular metal part and a cavity between the expandable metal sleeve and the tubular metal part. The invention also relates to a wireline plug setting method for setting a permanent plug in a well for plugging and abandonment on the wireline.

The present invention relates to the use of a downhole pumping tool for removing a hydrate formation forming a hydrate plug in a tubing in a well, the downhole pumping tool comprising a pump having a pump inlet and a pump outlet, an electric motor for driving the pump, a wireline for powering the electric motor, the pump having a first end arranged closest to the wireline and a second end facing the hydrate plug, wherein the pump inlet is arranged in the second end, and the pump inlet contacts a first face of the hydrate plug, the pump providing suction to remove at least part of a plurality of gas molecules from the hydrate plug for dissolving at least part of the hydrate formation. The invention also relates to a hydrate removal method for removing hydrate formation forming a hydrate plug in a tubing.

The present invention relates to a downhole wireline tool string for removing material of a component in a well downhole by an annular grinding area, the downhole wireline tool string having an axial extension and a centre tool axis, a front end and a top end connectable to a wireline, comprising an electric motor powered through the wireline for providing rotational output, a tool section for anchoring the downhole wireline tool string inside a well tubular metal structure, an operational tool rotated by the rotational output and defining the front end and an end surface arranged axially opposite the wireline and comprising an annular wall having a circumference and a wall thickness defined by an inner wall radius and an outer wall radius from the centre tool axis, wherein the operational tool comprises at least a first grinding section and a second grinding section arranged at the end surface, the first grinding section having an inner face being arranged at a first distance from the centre tool axis, the first distance being smaller than the inner wall radius, and the second grinding section having an outer face being arranged at a second distance from the centre tool axis, the second distance being greater than the outer wall radius.

An intervention system is provided. The intervention system comprises a cable being configured to be lowered into a wellbore, said cable having an inner tube enclosing one or more electrical conductors, and an outer tube surrounding the inner tube. The intervention system further comprises a downhole tool being connected to a distal end of the cable and being configured to pull the cable into the wellbore.

The present invention relates to a downhole packer assembly for expansion of a metal sleeve, such as a metal patch, in a well downhole in a well tubular metal structure, the well having a top comprising a body part having an axial extension, a first end facing downhole and a second end facing uphole towards the top of the well, an expandable tubular packer element surrounding the body part, and a first end and a second end of the expandable tubular packer element are fixedly connected with the body part, providing an expandable space therebetween, the expandable space being fillable with liquid during expansion, and a metal sleeve surrounding the expandable tubular packer element, wherein the downhole packer assembly further comprises a restriction unit comprising an axially movable part, the axially movable part having a first part end facing the first end of the expandable tubular packer element and a second part end facing away from the expandable tubular packer element, the axially movable part having a first axial position in which the axially movable part at least partly overlaps the expandable tubular packer element and a second axial position in which the axially movable part has been axially displaced in relation to the body part away from the expandable tubular packer element. The invention also relates to a downhole system comprising the downhole packer assembly and a driving unit, such as a downhole tractor, for propelling the downhole packer assembly in the well tubular metal structure.

A method for removal of at least part of a first well tubular metal structure in a borehole of an existing well having a top, the first well tubular metal structure having a longitudinal extension and a first end closest to the top. The method includes inserting a downhole wireline tool having an anchor section and a machining device in the first well tubular metal structure, positioning the downhole wireline tool opposite the first section of the first well tubular metal structure so that the machining device is positioned 8-12 metres from the first end of the first well tubular metal structure and the anchor section is arranged above the machining device, and anchoring the downhole wireline tool opposite the first section by activating the anchor section to abut an inner surface of the first well tubular metal structure.

The present invention relates to a downhole plug and abandonment system comprising a well tubular structure having an inside and a wall and being arranged in a borehole, a first plug arranged in the well tubular structure for sealing off a lower part of the well tubular structure, a second plug arranged in the well tubular structure at a distance and above the first plug isolating a confined space having a space pressure between the first plug and the second plug, wherein an abandonment device is arranged in the confined space, the abandonment device comprising: a unit configured to increase the space pressure, a sensor configured to measure a temperature and/or a pressure in the confined space, and a device communication module configured to receive an input from the sensor and to communicate signals from the abandonment device. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a downhole plug and abandonment method.
